In 2010 Jaja decided to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. She studied Massage Therapy program at School of Holistic Massage and Reflexology in Downers Grove. She graduated and got her license in 2011.
After attending several Myofascial Release courses, Jaja decided to change her business name into Stretchologist in order to include not only Thai Bodywork as her speciality, but also Myofascial Release as well.
She Studied Thai Yoga Therapy with Chuck Duff at his School of Thai Bodywork in Evanston - Soma Veda, Ayurvedic Thai Massage, Nuad Boran, Hands Free, Clinical Thai Bodywork and Luk Pra Kob. In 2006, she became a Certified Thai Massage Practitioner and in 2007 started her Thai Massage business called Sky Thai Massage.
JAJA SVOBODA, LMT (pronounced ya-ya) is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Thai Massage Practitioner.
As an anatomy and kinesiology teacher at the School of Holistic Massage and Reflexology in Downers Grove, Jaja was teaching students anatomy, kinesiology and postural assessments between the years 2011 - 2015.
She had been teaching Thai Massage class at the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard between the years 2009 - 2015.
In 2015, Jaja successfully finished a Personal Training program through American Council on Education (ACE) and became a Certified Personal Trainer. She become a Functional Exercise Specialist in 2017.
Marilyn started her career as a Thai Massage practitioner. She found her passion in John F. Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR) and after becoming Licensed Massage Therapist she made MFR primary focus of her practice.

Jaja got introduced to the Myofascial Release (MFR) and learned about the system of the connective tissue (fascia) and its effect on other structures, posture and pain-sensitive tissues. She has been trained by John F. Barnesand has taken MFR 1, MFR 2, MFR 3, Unwinding, Advanced Unwinding, Rebounding, Cervical/Thoracic, Fascial Pelvis, Pediatric, Skill Enhancement Seminar, Women's Health, Quantum Leap, Soft Tissue Mobilization, Myofascial Healing Seminar, Subtle Energy Seminar and Equine Seminars with 12 years of experience.
In 2017 Jaja took interest in Fascial Counterstrain to help her chronic clients to improve their well-being. She has finished the Intro to Fascial Counterstrain, Musculoskeletal Fascial Counterstrain and Lymphatic/Venous Fascial Counterstrain class in 2017, and Arterial Fascial Counterstrain class in 2018.
She has deep appreciation of the therapeutic effect of Thai Massage ad MFR, which are both stretch-based. After becoming licensed, she decided to change the business name into STRETCHOLOGIST.
Jaja was born in Czech Republic. She was dancing and playing violin since she was 6. She also took drawing lessons.
She's been interested in massage since she was 16.
After High School, she Studied Architecture at the University of Technology in Brno, Czech Republic, were she obtained a Bachelor's degree of Architecture. At that time, she started playing tennis and was representing the University. Her interest in massage got triggered again, when she was helping her fellow tennis players with their muscle issues, giving them massage.
In 2004, when Jaja arrived to the United States, she decided to pursue the career of a Massage Therapist.
Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization
Also known as Kolar's Technique, this was developed by a Czech physical therapist to help improve strength and stability, which intrigued Jaja. She has taken Exercise 1 class so she can help her clients become stronger with safe and easy to do techniques.
